Kelsey Girard Myles, 36, of Clarksdale, Mississippi, was taken into custody by Virginia State Police on Saturday after a warrant was issued for his alleged involvement in a deadly shooting on Walker Road in Chambersburg, according to the Chambersburg Police Department.
Officers responded to the 200 block of Walker Road on Friday, Jan. 17, at 5:08 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene, police said.
Investigators allege that Myles shot the victim and fled the area. A warrant was issued by Magisterial District Judge Manns, charging Myles with criminal homicide and recklessly endangering another person.
Chambersburg police emphasized that the incident was isolated and that the public is not at risk.
Myles is being held in VSP custody pending extradition to Pennsylvania. Daily Voice has reached out to VSP for more information but has yet to hear back at the time of publishing.
He has been charged with Criminal Homicide and a misdemeanor for Recklessly Endangering Another Person, according to his court docket.
